He's Here

I'm computer illiterate so I can't figure out how to post pictures.  Sorry!  Jackson Daniel Plum was born at 1:13pm on 5/30/13.  He weighs 8 lbs, 6 oz and is 19.5 inches long.  He came out screaming, music to our ears.  Jamie Rose was incredible - 5.25 hrs of labor and only about 10 minutes of pushing.  I went out to get the photographer, came back, and she was about halfway done.  I ended up getting to catch Jackson coming out - an awesome experience.  Held him while they cleaned him up and then passed him off to JR.  Mommy and baby are doing great.  Jackson has been asleep most of the 3.5 hours of his life.  Of course we're madly in love already.  Thanks for all the love and prayers!  We appreciate all of the support.  Will try to post more pictures later when I can figure it out.

Almost there

Should have expected this after last time.  She shot up to 9cm in the the last hour or so, so we're getting close to pushing.  Here we go...

Moving along

Dr Thomas broke her water about 20 minutes ago.  She's at about 5 cm and just got an epidural.  Dr said he'd be back about 1-130 so we expect things to start moving along a little faster now.  Not much else to report but mom and baby are doing great.

Waiting...

They started Jamie Rose on a low dose of pitocin so she's having some contractions but nothing too strong or frequent yet (easy for me to say).  She feels pretty good and is in great spirits.  Dr Thomas will be back about 10am or so to check on things.  It sounds like he'll break her water about 11:30, so for now we wait and let things progress slowly.

Baby Day

Good morning all!  It's baby day, woohoo!  We just got checked in at the hospital and are waiting for the nurse to take us to our room.  Nothing exciting to report yet, but we're here and getting going.  I'll try to update this as much as possible, but if it's anything like June's birth, it could go quickly and posting might be sporadic.  But we really appreciate y'all caring enough to check-in and we can't wait for you to meet baby Jackson.
